Minder and Ratermann Homes began before the first project, the first client, or the first job site with the company name attached to it.
Peyton Minder and Gavin Ratermann started as close friends with a shared long-term vision. They wanted to build something meaningful together, and they wanted that business to be built the right way from the beginning.
Gavin's background in landscaping and site development gave him firsthand experience with grading, drainage, lot preparation, and the foundational details that make a property function the way it should. Peyton's background in construction gave him experience with job site execution, subcontractor coordination, structural detail, and the day-to-day discipline it takes to move a project from idea to finished home.
Over time, they both noticed the same problems in the industry. Too many homeowners were dealing with poor communication, rushed details, inflated pricing, unclear expectations, and average results being sold at premium prices.
They believed it could be done better. That belief became the foundation for Minder and Ratermann Homes.
